Terms and conditions for lock change offer

Below are CIA’s terms and conditions for our ‘Welcome to your new house’ lock change offer.  We consider these to be clearly laid out, understandable and fair, but feel free to contact us if you require any further explanation.

Welcome to your new home/lock change offer T&Cs

  • One lock cylinder will be replaced using a standard range product. If cylinder operated locks are not in place, CIA will change or replace the key operation of one mortice lock at our discretion.
  • Two keys will be provided for the new lock. Extra keys will incur an additional charge and may not be available at the time of installation.
  • This offer is restricted to the address on CIA’s house warming card and is available to domestic (non-business) customers only.
  • It is valid for one calendar month from date of postmark on the house warming card.
  • This offer has no cash equivalent value, is non-transferable and may be withdrawn at any time.
  • This offer excludes replacement of a faulty lock or the replacement ofa lock without a functioning key. (The key must be available to our Locksmith).
  • If the original lockis of a high security, restricted or specialist nature and it is impractical to replace it from our standard range, CIA will advise regarding any additional charges that may be applicable.
  • We will advise you of the cost of any additional charges related to the lock replacement prior to commencing any work and will only proceed with the installation with your agreement.
  • All additional charges will be payable at the time of supply of goods or services.
  • You must notify CIA at the outset of any conditions or requirements specified by your insurance company.
  • CIA cannot accept liability for risks not covered or for losses incurred for failure to meet insurance conditions or requirements.
  • Lock replacement is no substitute for insurance cover and you are advised to contact your insurance company to ensure you are adequately covered for any risks involved.
  • We will offer you advice about other locks and the physical security of the property in general but you are under no obligation to purchase.
