Standards

CIA are right at the forefront of this industry and adhere to the many different standards that the industry works to.

We also have a Quality Management System (QMS), endorsed by ISO9000 (superseding BS5750) and the NSI.

Below is a brief summary of the important standards that CIA work to followed by a complete list of every standard currently adhered to:

Intruder

BS4737 (now only used for old systems requiring maintenance)
EN50131 series
PD6662: 2004 (almost completely superseding BS4737 in October 2005)

Fire

BS5839 parts 1: 2002
BS5839 parts 6: 2004
BS6266: 2002
HTM82 for hospitals

Gaseous Systems

BS6266: 2002

CCTV

BS8418: 2003

Emergency Lighting

BS5266: 1988

The New EU Standards

The dual running of BS and EN standards will end in October 2005, with no new BS systems being allowed after that.
