Under its existing health, safety and environmental policy, Christie Intruder Alarms Ltd is fully committed to continual improvement of its environmental performance. This will be achieved by setting clear environmental objectives and regular monitoring of performance against the set objectives.
In order to regulate and monitor the environmental performance of the Company, an environmental management system based upon the requirements of:- BSEN ISO 14001:2004 will be documented, implemented and maintained.
In particular Christie Intruder Alarms Ltd will:
- Advise all of our employees and direct contractors of this policy, and the reasons for it.
- Comply with relevant environmental legislation, notably the ‘duty of care’ for waste disposal and the ‘special waste’ regulations.
- Seek to establish, before arriving on site, if the client has any specific environmental requirements, for example the control of pollution.
- Continually seek to increase the re-use or recycling of the materials used in our operations, where this is financially practical for our business.
- Advise all company drivers about the need for fuel efficient driving, and record annual company mileage and fuel consumption.
- To further help reduce the environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions we will advise our clients about possible options for using energy efficient equipment and fittings, where installation is technically possible.
This policy will be reviewed annually.
