Business Security

When thinking about securing a business, there is much to consider - protecting the premises against both criminals and fire; the security of the company’s assets and data;  the security of employees and their possessions and -  the reverse side of this coin - protecting the company against fraud and theft by employees…   So the list goes on.  Whether office, industrial or retail, private or public sector, no one is immune.

Securing Your Business or Commercial Property

CIA can help you at every level.  Our business security system designers are all CRB checked - some even enhanced CRB checked, and others are cleared to work unescorted in MOD sites - and have a wealth of expertise for systems of all sizes and complexity, including fully integrated systems.

Personal safety should be right at the top of the list so protection against fire is paramount.  CIA are BAFE SP203 accredited to design, install, commission and maintain fire alarms.  This guarantees that corners are never cut: we adhere to all current fire regulations and use products that are to the appropriate British Standards.  We can also supply a wide range of other fire safety products, such as fire extinguishers, fire signage and smoke alarms.  The more complex fire systems, of course, have inbuilt smoke alarms and sprinkler systems.

There is evidence to suggest that it is a growing trend among burglars to target businesses over homes.  A burglary causes enormous disruption to a business, not just by disrupting trading but the knock-on effects include damage to staff morale, increased insurance premiums, and the increased likelihood of being targeted again.

With thousands of commercial systems to their credit, CIA is widely known for our effective and reliable burglar alarms which are NSI NACOSS Gold approved and installed by our own directly employed fully trained workforce.  These systems can be as simple or as complex as your business requires and each one is custom made to ensure that it delivers the security you need.  Where required, an intruder alarm can be integrated with other security systems.

CIA also has a strong reputation as CCTV system designers and installers, CCTV not only deters intruders, it also acts as a valuable Management tool - for example identifying as a stand-alone system or as part of an integrated system.

There is also a growing demand for access control, everything from simple systems like mechanical door entry locks to the most complex electronic integrated systems which interact with other security systems and managed from a central workstation, or biometrics.  Within access control, we are also certified to install and maintain electronic gates, and can provide grilles and bars for vulnerable windows.

Insurers often require windows to be secured with locks, especially on the ground floor, and doors to have 5 lever mortice deadlocks or multi-point locking devices.  Failure to comply could invalidate your insurance cover if you are burgled.  CIA’s team of qualified Master Locksmiths can advise and install to ensure you meet insurers’ requirements, as well as offer advice on master suiting (known also as master key systems) which can be incorporated, if required, into your access control system.

Once your system is installed, it doesn’t stop there.  We are keen to give you whatever support you need.  You can choose a maintenance package to suit your needs and we are are always happy to help, whether over the phone, on line or in person.
